T-Mobile Student Discounts

T-Mobile Education Discounts for Teachers and Students
T-Mobile offers some of the best discounts for teachers and students out of all the popular wireless carriers. They have discounts for phones and tablets along with accessories such as Bluetooth speakers, cases, and chargers. In order to be eligible for these discounts, you must be a college student at an eligible college within the United States, K-12 staff, or college staff. You will also need to be able to prove that you’re employed as a teacher or that you’re currently enrolled at a university. Also, you have to be getting new service in order to get the exclusive discount on phones and plans.

For educational discounts at T-Mobile call 877-447-1264 or visit T-Mobile.com. We've also partnered with T-Mobile for an exclusive $50 off promo code that you can find by using the link provided and following the instructions on their website.

How To Get Student Discounts at T-Mobile

To get signed up for the discounts you must do it via telephone. As of right now, there’s no way to get signed up online. So that means that you must call 877-447-1264 or use or go to their website and use the number provided and they do recommend that you have anywhere from 15-20 minutes to complete the requirements to get signed up for a new phone and plan. As previously noted, you must be a new customer or be signing up for a new plan with device purchase to take advantage of these discounts. The current education discount looks to be around $60 off most devices which include the iPhone along with the iPad Air and iPad Mini. Another positive of calling in is that they can also help you figure out exactly which plan is right along with any discounts on the plan.

Education Discounts For Accessories

T-Mobile also has education discounts for accessories that both teachers and students can take advantage of. In order to receive 20% off select accessories, you will need to follow this link and then put the promo code provided in at checkout. The code for accessories should appear towards the bottom of the page. There may be some exclusions on select brands. If this code doesn’t work then you can usually find other promo codes available for accessories on our T-Mobile promo codes page.

As far as we’re aware, T-Mobile no longer has a real corporate discount program unless it’s a new customer making their first plan and device purchase. You can try calling our specific number for T-Mobile at 1-877-447-1264 to see if they can help you process it. We also have a specific page detailing the T-Mobile Advantage (corporate discount) program here. If this doesn’t help then let us know and we will try to help you figure it out as best possible.

If I already have T-Mobile can I get the student discount on my plan?

    • WalletHero Staff January 26, 20171:48 pm

In order to receive the discount you will have to be adding a new line to your account. You can still call and check, but it’s our understanding that the discount will only be applied to new lines.

Do I just call and ask for the discount? Can the discount be done on their website? Also aside from colleges can high school students also receive the discount?

    • WalletHero Staff January 29, 201710:33 pm

You can follow the links we have in the article to be taken to the correct page for T-Mobile’s educational discounts or you can call the number provided and talk to someone instantly about the discount if that’s easier. As we stated, these discounts can be applied for college students attending an accredited school along with K-12 and college staff. This discount does not work for high school students.
